WiiM reveals its first smart speaker along with a powerful subwoofer and high-end amplifier

WiiM launches a new smart speaker, subwoofer, and amplifier designed for audiophiles. These devices have smart features and room-tuned sound.

WiiM has just introduced its first-ever smart speaker, the WiiM Sound, and it’s sure to catch your eye if you’re into quality audio. Designed to remind you of Apple’s HomePod, this sleek and stylish speaker isn’t just about looks – it’s built with audiophiles in mind. It’s part of a bigger launch that includes the new WiiM Sub Pro subwoofer and the WiiM Amp Ultra amplifier, designed to bring professional sound quality into your home.

Let’s take a closer look at each of these exciting new products.

Smart features and strong sound in one elegant speaker

The WiiM Sound is more than just a speaker – it’s a smart device packed with useful features. On top, you’ll find easy playback controls, and on the side, there’s a bright 1.8-inch high-resolution touchscreen. This display helps you scroll through playlists, choose presets, view menus, or enjoy album art while your music plays.

Under the hood, the WiiM Sound has a four-inch woofer and two dual-balanced mode radiator tweeters. Together, they deliver a strong 100W of sound, and if you pair two speakers together, you’ll get an even richer stereo effect with separate left and right channels.

WiiM has also thought about your room’s layout. The speaker uses a built-in microphone to study the acoustics of your space and adjust the sound output accordingly. You can use the WiiM mobile app to fine-tune the sound with a 10-band equaliser or choose from 24 different preset audio profiles.

The speaker supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and an ethernet port, making streaming music from over 20 services easy. It also works with Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and Alexa Cast, allowing smooth streaming from your favourite apps and devices.

Voice commands are supported through Alexa and Google Assistant, or you can use the included remote control, which also responds to your voice.

WiiM says the Sound will be available through Amazon and selected retailers by the third quarter of 2025. However, pricing details will be shared at launch.

Add deep bass with the new Sub Pro

If you want more bass, pair the Sound speaker with WiiM’s new Sub Pro. This powerful subwoofer features an eight-inch driver and uses a Class-D amplifier that performs between 25 and 200Hz, perfect for low-end depth and clarity.

Like the Sound speaker, the Sub Pro supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, ethernet, and includes an RCA input for connecting to home theatre setups. It also offers automatic room correction and a 10-band equaliser through the WiiM mobile app, so you can customise the bass to match your space and preferences.

High-end amplifier completes the trio

WiiM also unveiled the WiiM Amp Ultra, a premium amplifier designed for true audio fans. With its sleek aluminium body and 3.5-inch front touchscreen, the Amp Ultra looks as impressive as it sounds. Inside, it includes an ESS ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC—a high-quality digital-to-analogue converter—and delivers 100W of power per channel. That’s enough to power up to four passive speakers at the same time.

Dual antennas help the Amp Ultra stream high-resolution music smoothly over Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.3. The WiiM Home app allows you to stream from popular services like Spotify and Amazon Music, while support for Google Cast, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Roon gives you plenty of streaming choices.

The amp also has voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant, or you can use the included remote. It features an HDMI ARC port that supports Dolby Digital, and it includes a subwoofer output to connect to the new Sub Pro, completing your premium home audio setup.

Overall, WiiM’s latest products are a big step forward for the brand. Whether you’re looking to build a full sound system or want a stylish and powerful smart speaker, these new devices are worth watching.
